USADA does have a great reputation and it also has a privacy policy that is unique with every entity they are employed with. Boxing is the only sport where the promoter (not the comissioner) employs USADA, and if usada report the findings to any one else they will be in-breach of there contract. Everyother sport has a governing body that over sees the sport and employs usada. What boxing does is equivelent to say kobe byrant manager wanting lebron tested for steriods only and forgetting every one else. |

both usada & vada have no say in the commission nore the events. what both of these companies do is make tests public to the world & thats where it ends (further action can be taken such as the ban but that could take months) usada let GBP (and the world) know that erik tested positive. GBP downplayed the test & refused to give up their date. (what does that have to do with usada?) usada doesn't control the events nore the commission (they haven't invested any money in the actual event. he who's invested in the event has the say on what happens to the event. which is GBP) usada did their job by publicizing the negative test to the entire world. if usada wanted to be quiet or hide eriks test you wouldn't have heard anything in till after the fight. (in fact you probably wouldn't have heard anything at all) i mean wtf............ Last edited by pigsfly; 02-11-2013 at 07:31 PM. |

wtf are you? dumb? Do you know why they do the testing in this kind of sport? to prevent athletes from cheating and preventing them to gain advantage during the fight! that advantage may cause serious damage to the fighter but looks liKE USADA dont care as long as they are getting paid? While VADA have a strong policy that obliged them to send results immediately to the governing body. This is the reason why PEDterson and Berto fights got canceled coz the commission have the first hand of the result and they were able to act fast. Get it??? |

Look it up.The problem here, like indicated above, is that there is a conflict of interest with both VADA and USADA testing since the boxing commission and the testing agencies aren't working together with one another. |

Exactly.
Ultimately NYSAC made the call to sanction the event. USADA held a teleconference with everyone involved - NYSAC, GBP, Morale's camp, Garcia's camp, etc. Everyone was brought up to date. Blame NYSAC if you're looking to point fingers. USADA had zero say in whether the fight went on or not. Quote:

petersons “A” results were reported back to VADA on April 12. but wasn't made public in till March 19. (that debunks your vada "immediately" lets the commission know about a positive test) vada didn't inform anyone for over a month. not even keith kizer. & everyone knows that NSAC has very strict rules. you fail a test thats it........Nevada is the capital of boxing. coupled with that fact that khan wasn't gonna fight peterson anyway (after finding out about that positive test) it was a no brainer. |
