Fitzgerald came out aggressively but Lee was quickly showing why he is world class with the stylish upper cuts and counter right hands in evidence. It was clear that Fitzgerald had come to win and although Lee's cuter, quality punches were the more eye-catching the underdog was clearly in the fight at halfway. Lee was unable to keep Fitzgerald off him as he marauded forward, and there was little spite in the Irishman's digs to the body as he began to look weary. Lee was able to dictate the pace and although it was not the return he had been looking for, the referee's tally of 98-94 was a fair reflection of his superiority.

Makes sense for both fighters and its a competative fight for the fans although my pick would be comfortably Barker.
Lee wasnt impressive vs Fitzgerald, his stamina didnt look great his punching had no authority and if you compare that to how Barker looked vs Hope youd have to say that Darren is the man in form and is too good to be outboxed at range by Lee. |
