[PLEASE HELP] What exactly is "ilivid"? It is malware?

I keep getting annoying "ilivid" pop ups from various sites.

The pop-ups seem to be trying to trick me into downloading it, when I'm about to download a fight video.

What is it's purpose? Is it a kind of malware that can damage my computer?

I think it is a program like Realplayer that allows you to play videos & edit them but I'm not 100% on that.

do not install that mother****er. trust me, its malware affiliate get paid for every install.

What it basically does, is change your search engine to the point it extermely hard to change back and every ad you see if replaces by their ads.

Another plus is that you won't have to watch the youtube ads.

I don't care what browser you use, if you aren't using Adblock Plus you are cheeks, mate.

Adblock Plus, and get yourself a free antivirus program, never pay for one. Avast and AVG are just as good if not better than the pay ones.
