That's not what we are discussing here. This thread (refer to title) is about TR and GBP not being able to make fights. TR is clearly.....CLEARLY to blame for that. All this talk about who's the more evil company is digressing away from the pertinent point - that Top Rank refuses to make fights with GBP.

GBP never said they wouldn't make fights with TR. Hell, Oscar even apologised to Arum (like Bob demanded) just to ensure they could do business.

For the record, I think GBP are shady as fook too. But that twisted old man is to blame for this particular problem.

I have to agree with Golden Boy on this one. Anytime Bob doesnt get 100% of what he wants, he always says "it wasn't a real offer". He doesnt want to co-promote with people because it forces him to be completely honest about what EVERYONE is making. He has done it with Floyd- Pac, Mares- Donaire. People seem to forget that Shane Mosley had to leave Golden Boy temporarily so he could get the fight with Pac.

The network that gets Mares vs Donaire does not matter to Arum as long as it brings Bob Arum the most money. It didn't stop him from making Pacquiao vs Mosely, when Pacquiao never fought on Showtime.

Wearas, Donaire fought on Showtime against Hernan Marquez in July 2010 and of course Vic Darchinyan. Donaire has been switching channels, Showtime, Top Rank PPV, and now HBO. Bob Arum only cares about making the most money while protecting his long-term investment(Donaire).

Mosley, JMM and Bradley all had to sign under Top Rank in order to get a fight. Mayweather and Cotto had to leave TR in order to get a fight. Maybe Bradley needs to think about leaving TR as well......

Bob makes it perfectly known how he does business and when someone uses his method of business against him, he turns around and suggests that it's not the way to do business.

Does GB need to step up and be the better man/company and apologize to Bob?

Arum has what some said was "fighter of the year".

To summarize what GB said in that contract, "Arum give me YOUR fighter of the year for money and stay away from anything to do with this big fight".

Arum was not interested in that kind of a deal.

Arum has several alternatives so he could wait until later this year or next to do the Mares fight and it would be even bigger than now if it all goes as planned .... but there is no guarantee that it will go as planned.
