Since turning professional last year Kal Yafai has made a blistering start to life in the paid ranks with only one of his seven fights so far going the distance. The 23-year-old’s obvious power has made it difficult to match him with domestic bantamweights, however this may not be an issue much longer as his promoter Eddie Hearn exclusively revealed to BoxingScene that the youngster’s short-term future may be in the 115lbs division.

More fights and more money at 122 in the UK for sure. Good decision, particularly if his body can stand up to flip-flopping between 122 and 118.

Ah, shame, I was excited when I read the title. Would've been great to have Kal Yafai in the same division as Quigg, Frampton and Galahad.
