I wish I had a link but Oscar took both Tito and his father out for dinner in PR. It was reported by a PR newspaper and Tito was unwilling to fight again at the same weight. He wanted to move up and Oscar wasnt willing to.


I think Tito's people new they escaped with one and didn't see the necessity to rematch before they got some bigger fights.

Maybe oscar thought he couldn't move as much at 160, cuz with vargas he stood toe to toe at 154 and it wasn't a problem, he said after the vargas fight that he wanted to fight tito.
According to tito they were in talks for a rematch 6 times to go 50-50 and oscar didn't want to. So i guess we got screwed in the end anyway.
