BoxingScene.com has been advised that a battle of unbeaten welterweights will open up the Brandon Rios-Mike Alvarado 2 HBO telecast on March 30th at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas with Las Vegan Jessie Vargas (21-0, 9KOs) squaring off against Lucky Boy Omotoso (23-0, 19KOs).

EDITOR'S NOTE - TOP RANK CONFIRMS FIGHT IS TAKING PLACE ON 3/16 Bradley-Provodnikov and NOT on the Rios-Alvarado card.

Great fight, love watching omotoso fight and it is an interesting to see what vargas can really do.

Looks like the winner will be Bradley's next fight, presumably Vargas. Omotoso has wins against a bunch of no hopers

Should be a good match up. Don't know if Omotoso KO% shows his power or just the level of his opponents was not that high.

Best win has come against Josesito Lopez close fight and I did think he won. Too bad he doesn't possess more power.

anything to pretty much avoid bradley getting in the ring with rios...

regardless, i have no idea how they think they're going to sell this fight/event.... theyre going to have to give tickets out so it doesnt look embarrassing on tv
