Boris Arencibia, CEO of Caribe Promotions and co-promoter to Guillermo “The Jackal” Rigondeaux, has advised BoxingScene.com that all of the outstanding issues have been ironed out, and a deal for a super bantamweight unification with Nonito Donaire has been finalized for April 13th on HBO. The venue has yet to be determined, with California, Texas and New York City in the running.

You know...something tells me Rigo isn't going to run, a la the second half of the Cordoba fight. That was a one-time deal, attributable to a newbie pro (only his seventh professional fight) reacting to a situation he's never known. Some people think this might turn out to be a boring fight, but, the more I think of it, the more I think these guys are going to put on a nice show.

I wont believe it till they in the ring. He might not show up to there press confernce leave town and stay in hiding for a year or so till Donaire moves up in weight class, they he show his face again. who knows.
