id say when ruddock properly loaded up with it, it would be harder. The mix of leverage, weight, explosiveness, heavy hands, accuracy and timing guys coming in, made him a massive puncher. Id put him in the top ten heavys

Cooney's hook was better. A little quicker and sharper. Ruddock was the better heavyweight though.

Cooney's was more consistent, and was better to the body. But, when Ruddock dipped and came up with that thing it was horrific.
Truthfully, what Ruddock threw hardest wasn't a pure hook. It was definitely a hybrid of a hook and uppercut...Cooney also threw his best from under and then up.

my head hurts just thinking about it.
my liver, too.
cooney to the body for sure. what tall HW threw to the body like that? probably the head, too, but maybe that's just some irish bias. ruddock had a unique hook with a ton of power.
