Comments Thread For: Rakhim Chakhkiev in Line For Masternak Showdown
According to Vyacheslav Karakash, the manager of highly regarded 2008 Beijing heavyweight gold medalist Rakhim Chakhkiev, his protégé is on the verge of fighting for the European cruiserweight crown after being nominated as the mandatory challenger for the prestigious blue belt.
“Our promoter Waldemar Kluch told us that he was starting negotiations for Rakhim to take part in the continental title fight”, said Karakash to Allboxing.ru. “Rakhim is presently in his native Ingushetia. He will start the active stage of his preparations for the upcoming fight in a week”.

They shouldn't fight each other yet.
I'd sooner Masternak and Chakhkiev clean out the cruiserweight division first, then fight each other in late 2014 or in 2015.

Nooo! My two favourite up & coming Cruisers.
Agree with Freedom, they should go separate ways and meet up at a later date when they have a world title a piece.

Damn definitely my two favorite CW up and comers facing off so soon, it'll be a barnburner thats for sure.
I agree with both of y'all, it is too soon for this match to come off, it needs to marinate a bit. Hopefully it is a great fight and it leaves room for a rematch/trilogy later on when they can both make some good money off of it.

u have two strong undefeated contenders willing to face eachother and u guys complain? i don't see any problem with this fight...the winner would be well deserving of a title shot
i've only seen masternak fight once on the undercard of kessler-green against a journeyman and i wasn't impressed...he isn't as big a puncher as people make him out to be
chakhkiev looks to be the real deal to me and I'm glad he's getting this opportunity...I think he'll win convincingly
