Sure, just close your ears and eyes. Were the 'israelites' always israelites, or where they nomadic peoples that came to dwell in the land of israel? To be clear, egyptians used 'shasu' generically, it refered to many different peoples, all.under the umbrella of nomadic people. In thos case however, we are specifically talking about the 'Shasu of YHW', specifically recorded as such.o

But sure, im sure here is no link between these ancient semites, who used hebrew tetragrammaton, and what we commonly know as israelites. No links at all, none that i can think of.

Regarding the Shasu of Yhw, Astour has observed that the "hieroglyphic rendering corresponds very precisely to the Hebrew tetragrammaton YHWH, or Yahweh, and antedates the hitherto oldest occurrence of that Divine Name - on the Moabite Stone - by over five hundred years." [4] Donald B. Redford [5] thinks it reasonable to conclude that the demonym 'Israel' recorded on the Merneptah Stele refers to a Shasu enclave, and that, since later Biblical tradition portrays Yahweh "coming forth from Se'ir" [6] the Shasu, originally from Moab and northern Edom, went on to form one major element in the amalgam that was to constitute the "Israel" which later established the Kingdom of Israel. Rainey has a similar view in his analysis of the el-Amarna letters.

The records from the Exodus of Egypt could have very well been destroyed with the Library of Alexandria as were many many other historical documents. However, to claim that the Exodus never existed is asinine. Up until the 90's people such as yourself were also singing the tune that David and Goliath was a fairy tale, until archaeological evidence showed otherwise.

If the Exodus did happen, then probably the Pharoah after Ramses, Merneptah.

The link you posted to the Wiki article stated that the Egyptians made a distinction between the Shasu and the Israelites, drew them differently and considered them separate.

But carry on believing what you will. No evidence of Exodus.

More evidence to suggest that some sort of exodus did occur, than didnt. Now, whether or not there were plagues or whatnot are a whole nother. Anyways, about your comment;

Quote:
Shasu (***352; 3 sw, probably pronounced Shaswe) were Semitic speaking pastoral cattle nomads who appeared in the Levant from the late Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age or Third Intermediate Period of Egypt. They were organized in clans under a tribal chieftain, and were described as brigands active from the Jezreel Valley to Ashkelon and the Sinai. [1]

The name evolved from a transliteration of the Egyptian word ***353; 3 sw, meaning
"those who move on foot", into the term for Bedouin-type wanderers. The term first originated in a fifteenth century list of peoples in Transjordan. It is used in a list of enemies inscribed on column bases at the temple of Soleb built by Amenhotep III. Copied later by either Seti I or Ramesses II at Amarah-West, the list mentions six groups of Shashu: the Shasu of S'rr, the Shasu of Lbn, the Shasu of Sm't, the Shasu of Wrbr, the Shasu of Yhw, and the Shasu of Pysps.
Most specifically, we are examining the shashu of YHW, who used hebrew tetragrammaton and worshiped Yahweh.

Quote:
And while it would be wrong to jump to the conclusion that 'Israel' as known from the period of the Judges or the early monarchy was already in existence in Edom at this time, one cannot help but recall the numerous passages in later Biblical tradition that depict Yahweh 'coming froth from Se'ir' and originating in Edom. The only reasonably conclusion is that one major component in the later amalgam that constituted Israel, and the one with whom the worship of Yahweh originated, must be looked for among the Shasu of Edom already at the end of the fifteenth century B.C.

That's not the same as an Exodus from Egypt. Which never happened.
