he's a former olympian with very heavy hands and a good chin. he's got an educated offense for a real banger.
the few weeks following the proksa fight were a bit much "golovkin vs hagler, jesus, an ocean liner, etc"
i had a nice laugh.
how many inexperienced professionals have offense like that?
there's a huge downside for golovkin, though. he's 30. physically he will get no better. given his style he has probably peaked. he won't deteriorate the way a mover would when his legs go, but what you see with golovkin is probably at or around his ceiling. regularly you look at a blue chip prospect / emerging contender in terms of potential. with golovkin you're asking how far he can go with what he's got.
