There's a post showing up on the story's comment list about the commission not caring that one of the judges added her score wrong, though for some reason that post isn't showing up in a form that I'm able to reply to it. I thought that I'd clarify, as someone who has been involved in the judging process. Judges don't add their scores. They turn in individual cards for each round to the referee immediately after the round. The ref collects the cards and hands them to the supervisor, who writes the scores on a paper like the one shown in the photo and adds them together. It's the commissioner, then, that appears to have added wrong.
The judge is only guilty of...well...being a terrible judge. And the rounds were scored so randomly that I honestly don't even think these two blind mice were corrupt or biased. If so, there's no way either of them would have given Cunningham round 1, which legitimately could have gone either way. They just truly don't know what the hell they're doing.
