Oh that's almost 13 year old article. I just found it prescient and a bit odd, what with all of the flack (from the Left) that the NRA head is getting for his "quacky" suggestion, that it was actually an old Bill Clinton proposal.

There's a place for police in schools, but the schools targeted need to be particularly at-risk ones, schools where crime is rife. Not really anything applicable to school shootings at all.

Well I think it's applicable since Clinton's proposal was to specifically address the Columbine school shooting. Seems like you're being needlessly argumentative. I'm not sure why we can't do this for all of our schools, though I prefer what they're doing in Harold, Tx, which is allow their teachers to carry concealed weapons.
