How to dump out the alphabet soup
We all complain about how stupid, corrupt and irrelevant boxing sanctioning bodies are. my question is, at this stage of the game, is there any way of fixing the problem? how can you go about creating a true and legitimate sanctioning body/ranking system to replace the system (or lack thereof) that exists now, without ending up just throwing more letters into the soup and causing more confusion? the other bodies won't voluntarily cease to exist, and fighters/promoters will continue to give them credence, unless there's some major overhaul. are we stuck here?

Only way to change is it is from within.... and that'll never happen.
The cancer has already spread and the damage has been done... a miracle would be needed

Ask yourself why the WBC was formed.
Then ask yourself if that original problem is ever going away.

I think Harry Reid and John McCains drive to create a Federal Boxing commission is a good first step at cleaning up the sport...the Sancation bodies are the whims of the Commission's of the respective states, so i think itd be a good start..maybe
