MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) knocked Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) out cold in the sixth round of their fourth and likely final battle. Their first fight, in 2004, ended in a twelve round draw, with Pacquiao winning close controversial decisions in 2008 and 2011.

PEDs are a big reality in all pro sports, especially at the highest level, but it is pretty ridiculous to suggest that extra power from steroids is what made Marquez's shots powerful enough to put Pac on the canvas. Unless it is being argued that Marquez was on some new designer PED that made his punches much more accurate and caused his gloves to seek the proper places on Pac's head with which to collide, like heat seeking missiles.
In other words, if he is on PEDs it is par for the course; PEDs do help with things like conditioning and the ability to train, and of course strength, but would make no difference with respect to the knockdown/knockout punches themselves, which were very well timed, loaded up, perfectly placed punches, the second of which Pac ran headfirst into, greatly increasing the impact. |

Stop with all this PEDs talk.. Team Pac wouldn't want the testing anyways..
When he first came to 147 he wasn't in shape, years later after he worked out his body properly people saying it's PEDs? GTFO because your idol was exposed.. He got caught twice with the same punch. What if the first one was lucky.. the second time isn't.. Pacquiao never adjusted to that and he paid the price. He had that round but came off to agressive. And again, this PEDs stuff agaisnt Marquez?!?! LMAO Bringing up an arguement of PED in favour of Pacquiao? |

Stop whining about PED's. Pac knocked out ODLH, Hatton, beat the hell out of many others, and he's a flyweight. Marquez KO's pacman and now you start questioning. Come on man, he lost his last 3 fights. That's just the way it is. Do we really want to see pac - mayweather anymore? I really never had anything against him, but his time is over.
