Default Post by boxing fan Nate Miles on facebook boxing group

Taken from Facebook group "Boxing: the sweet science"
this is the most insightful comment I've seen on tonight's events thus far.

"This is one of the Great things about the sport of boxing. Its a sport that has its own immune system. When you take one fighter, even a great one, and continually put him up agains nobodies that dont even deserve to be in the ring with him. He loses perspective on his own abilities, he weakens without realizing it. When you take another fighter and subject him to awful decisions, relegate him to toil in the shadow of his closest contemporaries without a fleck the credit he deserves, all the while giving him the toughest opposition available; you make him angry. You take a great old vet and you give a new hunger like he's never had before. He then takes his rage and indignation as his hammer and forge to hone his passion, his zeal, and his skills to the finest edge they've been. And finally, when the opportunity for vindication is presented, finally justice is done."
