Alex told me he has been working with Heredia and he says everything is by the book,” Arum told this reporter earlier this week at the media day for Pacquiao at the Wild Card boxing club in Hollywood, CA.

“Alex is working with Heredia? Since when?” I asked.

“You’d have to ask him” said Arum.

I'd rather look beyond any he-said she-said bullshit:

We can't count on Nonito Donaire becoming the rule rather than
the exception (pro boxers VOLUNTARILY submitting to a full-on
WADA protocol, 365/12).

We can't count on the Athletic Commissions imposing foolproof
testing protocols, for political as well as practical reasons: who
would foot the bill, which includes not just actual testing costs,
but indrectly, the R&D that allows testing contractors to keep
pace with low-observable drugs.

We certainly can't count on the (remaining) fans, who just keep
on paying to see dirty fighters.

This has to be imposed from above.
As much as I hate the idea of big government, it has its uses, and
this is probably one of them. Drug abuse is a likelier hot-button for
government involvement than that other big problem in boxing: the
fragmentation of the sport via an excess of sanctioning bodies.

The alternative is tin-pot tyrants, which is what we have in boxing when it comes down to it.

Cheers.

If you're talking about the strap-body presidents, then
I agree. However, I would have to admit that we will
ALWAYS have promoters like Uncle Blob et. al. exerting
enormous influence on who gets to fight whom, and
when, for a heavy bias towards one stable or another.
The mutlitude of sancioning bodies means that no single
one has the weight to challenge the big promoters, who
can just turn to another strap-body. Heck, promoters
ave so much pul, they an actually have new belts made
out of thin air for a single match (look at some of Pac's
laughable waist-huggers from the WBC, and now WBO).

IIRC...
The WBC formed precisely because the WBA had heavy
bias of its own, albeit defined along national lines. How
many other alternative strap-bodies have formed since?
Anyway, I felt that drug testing more comfortably falls
under .gov purview, than the matter of championship
belts per weight division.

There may be a lot of truth to what you just said.

Let them juice all they want to have a fair fight. Unlike Floyd preventing his opponents to do that against him while he himself injecting his butt with it (PED). All he needs to do is pay USADA to keep their mouth shut.

(Sorry, article is too long to post plus I'm not 100% on posting others original work on these forums).

Interesting that Memo is working with multiple fighters but refuses to name them.

Yeah but still the article does`nt question Pacquiao`s big head and huge calves which is usually signs of Roid use.And moving up all these weight classes taking these punches from bigger guys like nothing but in the lower weight classes he was getting rocked, stunned and ko`ed.

Also the article does`nt mention Pacquiao lame excuse on why he would`nt take a test for 2 years,go on to sue Floyd which forces Floyd to backtrack cause Floyd wanted to pay very little in the settlement.

The article seem interested in protecting Pacquiao`s image while throwing other people under the bus.

And Nonito Donaire taking a test weeks after he announced it means nothing cause he could have cycled the roids out his system.

I stop going to that website a long time ago cause its pretty lame.
