well, yeah. It's basic science really. It's all about the calories in the end (for gaining/losing weight) and macros (muscle building).
This is not some holy grail of dieting. The main benefit is that a lot of people feel satiated from eating large meals which IF lets you do because you saved those calories you should have eaten earlier in the day.
It doesn't matter if you eat 7 times a day or 1. It's all a myth.
