Filming starts this September. With an unproven director, I'll hold my breath on if it'll be any good. But you never know. If it's filming this September in Panama for a few months probably, filming will probably finish late this year or very early next year. The film will probably come out Late summer or Fall 2014.

I'm praying it will be good. The only thing that gives me hope is the fact De Niro is in it. Not seen much of Edgar Ramirez so no idea if he'll do a good job. Roberto Duran deserves a good film to be made, I hope they do him justice!!

That other guy actually resembled Duran a little bit. This one doesn't at all, it's like they just got some random tanned Hispanic now. The new actor is also billed at 5' 10", while Bernal was 5' 6" much closer to Duran's 5' 7". So Bernal looked like Duran and could have actually pulled off his physical attributes. Now they got The Big Show to play Duran. Height doesn't matter that much in biographical films, but Bernal looked perfect for the role since he had the looks of young Duran.

But who knows, maybe he kills the part, and the movie still has De Niro which is a plus.

I'm disappointed by this news.

Gael Garcia Bernal is a f*cking amazing actor, and bears a lot of physical resemblance to Roberto Duran. I was really hyped to see him try on Duran's skin. It could've been his (American) breakout performance.
