Post Comments Thread For: Golden Boy, Sunrise Sports & Ent. Announce New Series

By Jake Donovan - On the heels of last month’s official launching of its long-term relationship with the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Golden Boy Promotions has added yet another home to its roster.

A new boxing series is in the works between Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and Golden Boy Promotions, representatives from both companies announced Wednesday morning.

The deal includes a minimum of four fights to be held at the BB&T Center (former Bank Atlantic Center) in Sunrise, Florida beginning early next year. Each show will be feature a guest appearance by a boxing legend, according to a news release from Golden Boy Promotions.

"We are thrilled and honored to partner with an incredible athlete and entrepreneur such as Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions," said SSE President Michael R. Yormark in a statement. Thats good news more boxing is always good for the sport. Lara will most likely be on those cards in Florida which is good for him.
