Super middleweight contender Marco Antonio "Veneno" Rubio (55-6-1, 48KOs) will return to the ring on December 22nd in Torreon, Mexico against an opponent to be announced. This will be Rubio's fourth fight of the year. He lost a twelve round decision to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in February, and then came back to easily stop unbeaten Jorge Cota in June and former champion Carlos Baldomir in September. The fight will be televised on Televisa.

I heard that Rubio rejected the HBO offer to fight Golovkin in January. I don't know why. May be he does not want to risk his health after seeing what happened to Proksa
