En route to a London Press Conference to the biggest fight of his young career, 24 year old Dillian Whyte received a phone call from UK Anti Doping (UKAD). The news that traces of a banned substance officially named methylhexaneamine (DMAA) was found in recent samples shocked the Brixton Heavyweight prospect and his team.

Following a number of telephone conversations with a UKAD official, the British Boxing Board of Control and promoter Frank Maloney, a decision was made to not to appear at the press conference for the English Heavyweight Title against John McDermott.
