National insurance is still an insurance or tax so to speak, except it goes in to a national pot and it's far cheaper than forking out for private insurance (which is still an option even in the UK). It's still the citizens who pay for it, not the government.

I think America should implement a NI for healthcare so everyone is covered and won't face huge financially debilitating medical bills should they fall ill. However, they should include an opt out policy for those who would prefer to continue to be covered by their private insurance provider and don't want to contribute to the national well being.

That way, those who are afraid of the communists can have their extortionate medical insurance and the associated risks of coverage. Everyone is happy.

Or I know this sounds stupid, but unless you really feel that horrible, you can self-diagnose yourself with a few google searches, or medical websites. I've done it a few times, found what was wrong, used the remedies, and got better.

But if you really felt that bad, you should have gone to urgent care. Still would have been expensive, but a lot cheaper than an ER visit.

Anyway, in the future, we'll all have insurance coverage, so you wouldn't have to worry about it. . . In the meantime, if you have trouble paying it, you can just pay whatever you can each month - as long as you pay something.

I have had gallstone attacks before (I'm sure of this now thanks to a member sharing his experience) but this was was really bad. It lasted from 4 AM to around 2 pm, it felt like I had been uppercutted by Tyson right in the center of my abdomen. The pain is terrible, mainly because it is a constant pain.

Idk if you box but imagine you got hit with a nasty body shot, that initial pain is the worst and will subside after a few minutes. With a gallstone attack it feels like you just got hit with that body shot every single second, I'm surprised I didn't cry.


I got scared into going though, I've been able to toughen them out before, however my jaw locked for some reason this time. That scared me into going, I could barely open my jaw a few Cm. I didn't know if I was having a heart attack or what, it felt like I was dying.

Second, immigration reform and amnesty was done under Reagan, but is more necessary today than ever. Third, it hasn't been done everywhere and lastly, it hasn't been done correctly.

I'm pretty healthy aside of the gallstones but unfortunately can't afford health insurance, my work doesn't offer it, and the shyt hit the fan at my house with my stepdad getting cancer, my mother also has MS so she an work sparingly, I've been helping them with bills. Guess I'm gonna have to start selling meth lol.


I haven't had health insurance since HS, I've actually avoided almost every single basketball game and football game I've been invited to play in just for fun because I'm scared of injury. My main fear is messing something up in my knee like my ACL.


Idk if you guys know this but if you were to tear your ACL and had no medical insurance it can cost from $20,000-$40,000! Even with insurance I've heard of people paying around $2000.
