JAMES DEGALE has promised to do better after shaking off the ring rust when he makes a swift return on December 8.

The Londoner is looking forward to boxing more often after a unanimous points win over Frenchman Hadillah Mohoumadi in the second defence of his European super-middleweight title.

But DeGale, 26, admitted his performance at the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent was not as sharp as it could have been after boxing just four rounds in the last year.

This guy had a great opportunity to change his attitude after the Groves defeat. He hasn't learned anything mentally though. His lack of power and poor defence can be worked on to a certain extent but his fragile ego is his undoing.
