I've reached the breaking point with my 3-family rental house. I just don't have the stomach for it anymore - every week my tenants are doing something f*cking retarded. A couple Sundays ago, I driving up the street to the house to finish up a maintenance project and what do I see? The f*cking fire department and police department responding to a small fire the third floor tenants set. The sh1theads managed to ignite a computer keyboard....that happened to be on the f*cking stove. How's that for stupidity? To add insult to injury, one of the guys was growing weed in the back room and that why the cops where there.
I've called my realtor to price the house and we will put it on the market maybe early next year. I've make various improvements to the property and the real estate market is much healthier than when I bought the house little over 3 years ago. So I'm thinking I'll make a modest profit on it. Not sure though... |

I don't let them do any repairs on the house they have to call me and I'll take care of it for that same reason of an accident or anything I could be liable for...the first floor has to be a lease but the second is a month by month rental... Good luck BG it sounds like a ****ing migraine. |

I haven't been stiffed on rents but there's always some maintenance issue going on - clogged toilets, leaky pipes, water heaters bursting (yeah that's a f*cking headache and 1/2) and other sh1t. I go to the house (it's about a 15 min drive from where I live) every Sunday to put out the trash barrels. The one time that I let my tenants take out the barrels I got a citation (a warning luckily) in the mail because the f*cking d1ckheads stacked the trash so it was f*cking mess. It's the stupid sh1t like that, that I can't stand anymore. I also thought the time that I spend managing/fixing the house, I could be investing in myself in terms of career development. I could be going to school to get a M.B.A. or other financial/business accreditation. I think it would be much less stress.. |
