World Boxing Council president Don Jose Sulaiman yesterday promised WBC minimum weight Silver champion Denver Cuello he will fight the winner of the bout between China’s Xiong Zhao Zhong (19-4-1, 11 KO’s) and Mexico’s Javier Martinez Resendiz (13-3-2, 6 KO’s) in Kunming, China which has been postponed to November 7.

This is a welcome celebration, walk in the door prize for China by the WBC. No disrespect, if China wants boxing champions, they will come, like Japanese and Thai and Mexican champions. Cuello has already beaten fighters of this quality, but anyway, welcome China and congratulations Zhong.
