Fantastic move by Kovalev. This kid is going to be the next star at LHW. Very crafty, high ring iq, devastating power and he's trained by a former world champ who knows how to get to the top.

Shame Campillo couldn't fight, that would of been an explosive fight and the winner would of been looking at a title shot. Campillo needs to get healthy, but Kovalev is going to be in line for a shot soon. Especially fighting under main events, where he's likely to be on plenty of Adamek cards, where he'll recieve excellent exposure.

Main Events is a good promotional organization which will keep him active and provide him with the opportunity to win a world title.

Main Event is a good spot for him, NBC Sports puts on good shows and he can build up a fairly big following that way.

I still don't like his long skinny neck though~ I don't think such a neck can handle a real 175 pound punchers punches.
