BoxingScene.com sat down with former champion Paul "The Punisher" Williams at his suite at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This Saturday, Williams will be ringside to watch Saul "Canelo" Alvarez defend his WBC 154-pound title against Josesito Lopez. Williams was in very good spirits and looking forward to the show. Williams was the first scheduled opponent to face Canelo on Saturday night, but this past May he was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Initially, the doctors felt Williams would never recover, but Williams told BoxingScene the doctors are now giving him a shot at eventually regaining his ability to walk.
