To Droid users that don't want to pay for monthly "HotSpot" feature + other Apps

I did the same exact thing.... Instead of clicking on Actions > Display

You need to goto Actions>Plugins.

Click the magnifying glass... A list will popup, scroll down to secure settings... it will then take you to a web page, click on downloads on the left side, read the top 2 sentences, it will give you a link to the google play store plugin you need for tasker in order to use it.

Once you download and install it, then go back to plugin, and secure settings will now be in the plugin list.

For some reason, waking your device is more security than normal display options like brightness etc.

I have the secure settings plugin.

I just realized I was referring to the wrong action to "turn on" the device.

It's actually the "Wake Device" option on that plugin.

Yeah but it really is all good for you because you have everything you need to make your Tab behave like the way you want it in your car.

On power on.

I have it

1. Wake the device.
2. Launch Music Player
3. Stay on as long as it has power

On power off

1. Kill the screen in 10 seconds.



I will be also turning on and off services like data and wifi on power on and off.
