Ideally removable, but from what Ive seen, unlesz you have some serious custom work done, you end up sacrificing factory looks if you want it removable.

I talked to the guy that does all the custom work at the shop todY, he said thatd be a good goal but realistically it will probably be fixed in the dash like a regular deck, where only if you really need to take it out you can.

Its a $350 tablet... I already have an ipad and im picking up the transformer infinity anyway, I honestly dont need to remove it for anything... Updates to software and apps can be done through wifi or the data plan and I can add songs wirelessly from my phone to the tablet.

I was just curious if tablets are built to handle the heat inside the car during the summer.

I've read somewhere that it could reach upwards of 190 deg F.

Ive thought about this as well... I may have a fan put back there with a switch, just to cool it down until the AC kicks in.... Might only be a prob in those extreme situations.

Same thing i was thinking. I know Ipads alert you and turn off once the temps get too hot and that usually when its at like 115 degrees

Yea it was an ipad. I saw it once because he's not a close friend but it was pretty simple and the ipad detached and could be taken off easily

Its all about the vehicle and what kind of dash space is available... Some are easier to do bigger tablets, some easier to slide out... The good thing is I have the space to do the tablet, now its just a matter of figuring out what type of install will work the best.

Looks to me is #1... It has to be clean and look factory... Its not going in a Daewoo.
