Guy dresses up as Elvis and does some armed robberies get a minimum of 12 years.

Judge said he had "immensely frightened" his victims.


So immensely frightening someone now is worse than stabbing someone 60 times to death.

Oh wait the guy took some money and as we all know money is more important than human beings in the UK.

In all likelyhood he will spend far longer than that locked up. The sentence is indeterminant so if you are a bit of a fruitloop and might pose a risk, they will not let you out... ever. He obviously has a bit of a temper which will not get you far in jail and does not look good to the parol board.

p.s. The murder rate in the UK is not rising but has actually been falling consistently for the last few years so we must be doing something right.

Life with a minimum term of 10 years is a longer sentence than a 12 year tariff. This is a fact, one that I have repeatedly demonstrate. He has not been sentenced to ten years, he has been sentenced for life with a minimum term of ten years. This is more than a 12 year sentence in which he could be and most likely would be out in six.

The judge didn't mention the money in sentencing this guy. He committed a string of robberies armed with a gun, threatened the staff every time he robbed. We also don't know anything about his criminal history. We do know he showed disregard for human life in a quite extraordinary crime spree.

That's an important fact. He committed a string of serious violent crimes. Do you think somebody who committed 15 murders would get life with a 12 year minimum?
