I think many with good sound sense, can appreciate a man of conviction who admits when he is wrong and changes his mind based on improved intel.

But that is not what Romney\Ryan does ... they outright lie to make it seem like they are one way, when in reality they are another. Then when the wind blows a different way the next day, they lie again to pander to the crowd and moment at hand.
This chameleon type behavior is disgusting and shows that Romney\Ryan will readily sell their souls to get what they want .... it also, shows a lack of leadership and a willingness to sell out those who count on them during crisis situations.

IMHO ... Romney\Ryan is G.W. Bush incarnate squared with a extra dose of wickedness.

Obama\Biden aren't perfect and have many flaws .... But this Romney\Ryan team makes them look like saints.

Interestingly after Obama was elected sales of ammunition went through the roof. I guess that the NRA and manufacturers decided to use the gullibility of Republican voters to sell more product by claiming that Obama wanted to take their guns.

In fact the conspiretards are now claiming that the fact that Obama didn't take away anyone's guns when he was last elected is proof he's going to take them THIS TIME!

In answer to the OP it seems like a very weird claim. He ran a marathon. The vast majority of people never even come close to such an accomplishment. Why the need to inflate his achievement?

I've never run a marathon. I aim to rectify this next year, doing a half in this September. Even just completing a half marathon puts me into a tiny subsection of society! No need to say "Yeah I actually set a new world record as well.."

Yeah to try and claim you can run a marathon over an hour quicker than you actually can, seems to me childish and stupid.

It is a feat just to run a marathon alone, not sure what he was trying to prove.

He not the first politician to make up absurd lies. Didn't Sarkosy claim he was there when the Berlin wall came down, and Hillary Clinton claimed she was under fire in Bosnia when she went there, there was some British politician who claimed he was an Arctic Monkeys fan, which was also a lie.

They are lies with out any meaning but maybe boost their ego or popularity and they can be easily seen through.
