    Posted on 15 December 2005 - 15:45

Cuban heavyweight Juan Carlos Gomez, who recently beat Oliver McCall, faces a two-year ban after testing positive for ******* after a fight in October.
Both A and B samples showed traces of *******, his German promoter, Universum Box Promotion, said in Hamburg on Friday.

Gomez was tested on October 15 after beating McCall, an experienced American fighter, on points in a non-title bout. The Cuban is the fourth-ranked heavyweight on the World Boxing Council rankings list.

Gomez, 34, was believed to be in the United States this week and could not be reached, Universum chief Klaus-Peter Kohl said.

If this is true it's very disapointing, i thought he'd overcame his troubles, and was back on track after some good wins, he's a guy i really think could go all the way, but if he gets banned for two years it all goes out the window for him.
