Physically Dawson does have the advantages. He's bigger, faster & has more power in every single punch. But it's what you don't see that gives Ward the edge. He's smarter, & he has more heart. He's a student of the game. Ward by ud in 1 of this years most meaningful fights. My hats off to both men.

Just think about in the Hopkins fight, the rounds where Dawson lost points. Andre can do the same thing, except he's throwing twice as many shots as Hopkins and doesn't get tired. Andre Ward UD 118-110.

the kids will have it physically. if they're soft will be the question. i'll venture that they are, but that it won't matter. the physical talent will be there. his oldest son is huge for his age.

you rarely see great second generation boxers for that reason. if you dad is a ham and egger you come up rough, but if he's a world champion you're probably growing up middle class, which really doesn't bode well for a boxing career. you need a special person to do that.

personally i think it's horrid to name your kids like that. they're not toys. in 18 years they'll be grown, and the name they have will hold them back. i'd be shocked if they dont have them changed.

I hope these kids change their names when they get a chance. If they don't then they have a lose screw just like their dad.

Back on topic, I will be amazed if Dawson can make 168 in healthy fashion without having to kill himself. It's also gonna be interesting to see how Dawson deals with Ward's style. Dawson has a short fuse and Ward's style should frustrate him.
