I remember that, I didn't think it was that long ago. Time flies, I remember the Sports Illustrated magazines given in my elementary school, we read about her, I saw her in the news too like other posters.

Off topic, Around the same time[same year] it was when I first heard of Julio Cesar Chavez and Oscar De La Hoya, I think they fought at that time and the fight was very popular. One of the "Sports Illustrated For Kids" magazines brought a Oscar De La Hoya poster inside, DLH just came off from beating Chavez I think, or they were about to fight or something. I remember reading about Chavez too in the SI mags before he lost to DLH. Lol thanks Reed, with this thread, you made me remember my farthest memories of boxing when I really wasn't a fan yet, just read about certain boxers. I was 7-8.
