True. It didn't do Mike Perez career any good. The guy stopped Tye Fields within 90 seconds in the final and is struggling to get anyone to fight him since. Darius Wach labored for 6 rounds against Fields and he has opportunities left, right and centre. Fury and David Price both refused to fight Perez, so did Adamek, Helenius and Pulev. At the moment he's being thrown Chris Arreola's leftovers and hasn't had a bout since Dec 31st last. He has a speed, power and class to go with an unblemished record but, thanks to his performance in prizefighter, nobody wants to fight him. If the tournament had the backing of the WBA, WBC, IBF or WBO and the result had an actual impact on the rankings, then it would be worth staging. But, as it is, it can ruin a young fighters chances.
