The Tony Lo Bianco one was decent, didn't like the Favreau one all that much, he didn't look enough like Rocky or convincing enough in the boxing scenes. A Gatti movie would be great, I agree with that one. The guy was like a real life Rocky in the ring.
Another Marciano movie on a grander scale would be cool. The Michael Jai White movie was OK but Mike is just so unique that I can't see any actor doing him any justice. I thought the Muhammad Ali movie "The Greatest," was a great approach where he just played himself. Will Smith did good but Ali himself did much better!

I think a Harry Greb movie would be pretty good. Would love to see one about Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, Manny Pacquiao, Pancho Villa, or Stanley Ketchel (i believe they made one of Ketchel already if I am not mistaken though). Another Jack Johnson film would be great.

There was a Max Schmeling movie made 2 years ago called ''Max Schmeling'', didn't do too good.

I do like the idea of Max Schmeling if done right. Arturo Gatti was also a good suggestion. Suprised nobody mentioned Tony Galento or Archie Moore.

yeah, it would.
wasnt he ranked in the top 5 p4p near his death? im sure he was at least in the top 10 after the demarco win.

prior to that he'd been arrested numerous times for giving her beatings. he broke her ribs so badly they punctured her lungs.

he was a HORRIBLE man
he killed the mother of his five and eight year olds.
yeah, i cant really argue with those statements.

when you say genetic, are you referring to his schizophrenia?

i can still remember the downward spiral the week or 2 prior to the murder-suicide... it was nuts. he was my favourite active fighter at the time and is one of my ATG favourites... it was pretty disheartening reading all that sh1t. i was pretty cut when the final act was done, it was unbelievable.

Aside from the whole tragedy of a young dude/woman losing their lives leaving children and their families behind, and the terrible circumstances that lead to that outcome, he had so much potential. he had just been licensed to fight in the US, the buzz around him was really starting to build after the demarco win and he was in line for the big fights - marquez, pacquiao, guzman, diaz, mayweather, katsidis, bradley, matthyse. i would actually pay for the PPVs for those fights, especially valero-pacquiao/valero-mayweather. valero-pacquiao would have been a fu.cking blitzkrieg, and IMO is one of the best all time match ups i/people would like to see that never happend, like on a tyson-ali level (yeah big claim and neither pacquiao nor valero had the resume/standings of those 2 yada yada yada). i truly believe valero had ATG potential, but didnt have the time/opportunity to build his resume to such a status.

anyway, gettin kinda off topic.
