Yea sucks, I just liked the idea of how Broner and Lundy would have matched up stylistically.. but it is what it is.. Lundy made a lot of tactical errors tonight by constantly fighting off the ropes and not tying up when he needed too..

I don't know If there's anyone that has the style to defeat Broner at 135 now.. certainly wouldn't be Boring Beltron zzzzzzzz

The end of that third round was something. I thought Lundy was going to be on the canvas from the blows he was taking in that round.

Lundy took some terrible shots in the third and stood up, he boxed beautifully after that. He just didn't have the stregnth to push Beltran back and I attribute that to making weight. After 4 trips to the scales, anyone would be affected. I'll put an asterisk on this loss and say Lundy left it in the gym.

Lundy has zero chance against Boner if they ever meet.

I said this earlier in the day,

Beltran should have KO'd Lundy tonite , but let him off the hook after the 3rd

Lundy wouldn't be the guy to beat Broner either, although the style matchup would be somewhat interesting. I feel Vazquez and Abril would give real problems to 'The Problem' at 135, but not as dangerous as some guys at 140 and 147 (Broner and some 140 pounders are likely to hit 147 within the next few years).

While DeMarco is a southpaw, he's just a decent fighter - it would almost be like another Ortiz-Mayweather. For now, it's good for fans that there's another can down for the can man.

Had nothing to do with making weight, Lundy just doesn't have the chin for an elite level. Anyone who knows Beltran knows he was never a push over, I thought the fight was 50-50 going in with Beltran having a good possibility of knocking Lundy out

Zab was hallucinating, talking about the way Lundy was dominating with defense. This fight was fairly easy to score, at best Lundy deserved a draw, but I believe the judges had got it right.
