Selcuk Aydin doesn’t seem to be enjoying his stay in the United States in preparation of his Showtime-televised showdown with Robert Guerrero next Saturday in his opponent’s hometown of San Jose, CA.
The unbeaten welterweight was asked to participate in a media conference call to help promote the fight and also draw more attention to his own career, which has flown largely under the radar to date. Aydin has spent the majority of his career in his adopted Germany homeland, with the occasional stop in his native Turkey. [Click Here To Read More] |

Man I think Guerrero is in too deep this time around . Selcuk Aydin is training like a BEAST, here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G9S959I4yU

And from Guerrero's interviews, he seems to be focused on everybody but Aydin. One mistake and he could end up layed out on the canvas. |

I'm sure Guerrero is training hard, bu this move up is too much. He had some trouble with Katsidis at 135, lost to Salido at 126 or 130. Jumping up this much is too much. Aydin is not great but hes not bad either. Guerrero is probably using the Jojo Dan fight as a reason he can win, but Dan was big and tall and could take a punch well. Although he was a southpaw, he fights very different from Guerrero. Dan was a volume puncher, like Calzaghe and that was why he won that fight, but got robbed bad. Guerrero doesn't/can't fight like that. Not a good fight for him to take. However, if he can't beat Aydin then he's not going to beat any of the top guys at 147 and thus won't get any of the big fights he seems to think he is destined for.

Look how he is leaning in to hit the bag.....Guerrero has a superior jab and a superior reach...he is going to be eating jabs all night. Just to even get close, he is going to take massive punishment and he will have to use tons of head movement to have any chance...he doesn't normally need to do that so I think he will look good for maybe 3 rounds before he starts to fatigue and eat shots until the end...however it ends.
