Cant blame the trainer, am sure they worked on it so many times, considering that was Garcia's last fight too, If a fighter goes in there and then get caught by the same punch that he threw to KD a previous opponent then its on the fighter not his trainer.

Your right. Even before the fight started I knew that left hook would be key. I didn't think Khan would be so stupid as to not be prepared for it or even give Garcia a chance to use it. What does this say about a worn out, and out of shape morales who in two fights with the same guys has come out looking better than Khan. Sure, he didn't win against either but he didn't look like he was survival mode against Maidana, or had he come in shape and not have had the gall bladder surgery a couple of months prior to the fight with Garcia he probably would of looked way better.

You can blame the trainer, if you look at the fight from rd 1 Garcia landed the same hook a couple of times, until he went for the blind shot hook in round 3.

It was very evident that Roach did not prepare Khan to counter or defend the punch, they probably didnt even respect the punch and thought it was some kind of fluke

Roach idea of defense is standing in the middle of the ring with ur hands between ur head

No trainer in the world is going to tell an orthodox fighter to throw a right hook or a right uppercut in the middle of the ring, especially when trading.

In the case of the Khan fight, Danny timed it perfectly and u can see him bracing for it as soon as he sees Khan letting that first left hand go.

It's simply just something that trainers/fighters are going to have to prepare themselves for and do their best to neutralize. the best punch to have in this sport is a great left hook, and Danny does a great job at sitting down on his. You don't need to be a prolific counter puncher, terrific speed or explosiveness to have it be effective, u just need timing.

wasn't mistakes IMO, that is just Confirms to me that Danny has EXCELLENT TIMING and he baits his opponents to go for punches they think they can get away with, while they are coming underneath, Danny is coming from over the top and around, so you may land your punch but his Punch will do a lot more damage if it land, plus Danny has a damn good chin so he can afford to eat your uppercut to land his VICIOUS LEFT HOOK

So it is not two guys making the same mistake, it is Danny setting two fighters up perfectly to land that explosive Left Hook, he said all of this PRE FIGHT:

Yea always need to know your opponents money punch, the left hook shouldn't have even been that hard to take away especially for a taller more rangy guy with faster hands.

Circle to the left, pop the jab to maintain proper distance, tie up when he manages to get in close and keep your fucking right hand in good position (just up is not enough because even a guy with minimal ability can work around something that never adapts). It really does show Khan's lack of boxing acumen that he could not execute such a simple boxing concept, I am pretty sure Roach knows how to neutralize a left hook~ you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink

I think Khan needs to do a 1 year Mayweather retirement and load up on HGH to thicken his skull so he can asorb punches. ****'s seem to have thin bones
