Why does Joe Calzaghe get so much hate?

Sure Calzaghe's resume isn't that great but he did retire undefeated with some solid wins like Hopkins, Kessler, Lacy, etc. I hated the way he clowned Roy in their fight but I don't know why he gets so much flak on NSB.

he has some good wins but he should have fought dawson and rematched popkins imo, he was still in good nick mid to late 30's or whatever he was, i dont hold it against him staying put in the uk, plenty of fighters dont even move beyond their doorstep

simple, padded record. Boxing is about heart, taking on the best. You fight bums most of the time you get hate. His style of slapping doesn't help either.
