Exactly, im sure if Dawson would've said a catchweight or something Ward would've agreed to it. Dawson f**ked himself by not negotiating better. He gave Ward every advantage basically

it wasnt poor negotiating he made a choice to challenge himself. he wants that #1 p4p spot and is looking to make the biggest statement possible. prove himself in the ring rather than look for the easy way out and talk it up afterwards.

im happy its not at a catchweight, that would mean dawson had to defend his belt beneath the real weightclass which is unfair to him as a champion and a disgrace to the title. if ward beat him at a catchweight he wouldnt have took the belt off the champion the way he should. but if dawson takes his belt at 168 he gets full credit, just like ward gets full credit if he defends the belt since its at the correct weight.

it could go either way, these are two fighters i struggle to find a scenario where i see them losing against anyone. dawsons only loss was a fluke where he underperformed and still would have won had it not been in pascals backyard. hes a better fighter bcuz of that loss, he is a great, great fighter. as is ward, two future legends in their primes. whoever wins is a fight or two away from having a strong claim to the #1 p4p spot.

I agree with this. I believe Dawson knows his own body and knows he will be great at 168. He should be as strong as ever with a little more speed and stamina. If he can beat Ward at 168 it does more for his pfp status and there can be no excuses from Ward or his fans. Dawson made the challenge so it is only right that he come to Ward's weight. Ward did nothing wrong by accepting the challenge to defend the tittle he worked so hard for. Enjoy a good fight between two of the best fighters in the world.

At 168 I favor Ward to win an 8-4 or 9-3 type decision, and would not be surprised to see a total domination. At 175 I think it would be more of a 7-5, tough, tough win for Ward.
