Ever watch a fight live, then go home and watch it?

Every fight I goto, I always DVR it or PPV it to watch it when I get home.

I remember seeing Jones Hanshaw, and at the end of the fight, I thought Roy definitely lost, though my boy through text thought Roy dominated, when I got home to watch it, I saw a completely different fight.

Point of all that is, I think ring side, from only one static angle, is probably the worst possible way to watch a fight if you really need to see what's going on. I'm not so sure judges should be sitting rindgside.

Also, depending on how the fighters are fighting, in most cases, each judge sees a different fight from a different angle. I think this is the case in a lot of in-fighting matches, where punches are smothered, or blocked from view, where one judge sees them land and another cant even see the punch being thrown.

Good points Reed. Went ot ODH BHop fight. In the arena it looked like the gut punch wasn't all that. On the way out I asked Emmanuel Steward (not that i'm somebody he knows or am important in any way) and he said it was legit but I thought he was full of it.

Saw it on TV and it was clear Bhop tagged him pretty good on the right spot.

i think the problem is not the spot where they are sitting because even dan rafael who was sitting almost next to the judges had the fight in a wide margin for pac 119-109, and he was even convince that bradley will take the upset b4 the fight

the faq is only the 2 judges on that view scored it the ugly way meant there is a problem and the problem wasnt the view lol

the pros on that spot is u can actually here how hard the punch land and if it did land or just hitting gloves
so apart from seeing the actual happenings of the fight u can actually hear it too which is really important for judging,

the problem is boxing needs to investigate the judges they picked and i mean really good, in every after fight...
and maybe add a little round by round inerview after the fight why they score it that way

when u had around 95% of boxing site giving the win to the loser means it aint right

I know what you mean. I would give a semi-related example of an instance..

I went to the Torres vs Holt 2 fight and was sitting on the far left "camera view" and from my vantage point 3 rows back it looked like Holt got him with a body shot then KO'd him... a lot of people at the fights dont have a clear view of the action, including the judges sometimes. Everyone on our side thought it was clean until they kept showing the slow-mo replay on the screens, Then everyone started booing, but that was clearly after the telecast.
I also know that crowds do sway judges with the ohhs and ahhs, especially at Pac fights.

And do you know if Lederman sits on the same side of the ring as the HBO guys do?

I think there should be at least 20 cameras filming the ring...kind of like surveillance in the casinos... there should be a grid above the ring and around it, HD of course. and then all of the "issues " wether it be uts, butts, KO's , blocked punches whatever, could be better analized, kind of like a slow motion replay, but the more angles the better, its not like you have to cover a football field... just the ring, I know all that special lighting and stuff adds to the experience of a live fight, but there has to be a way to do it.

Cotto-Foreman@ Yankee Stadium when a towel flew in the ring from Foreman's corner
on HBO they didn't show or really get into what really happen and what the referee said that he decided to continue the fight watching it on TV wasn't completely different but I got to see shots that I didn't see live

all im saying is the spot aint the problem

boxing has stole alot of money from us by giving us an ugly decision such as that fight that just happened and they couldnt even give us a little something back by improving sheyt like judging investigation....

The spot can definitely be a problem. If you only view a fight from one angle, you're not seeing everything that's going on. A fight from 3 different angles can look like 3 different fights. I'd say what I'm saying is pretty accurate being that everyone who has been to a fight is concurring.
