I've just been looking at the self-confessed fat boy's stats, and here's what I've got as his four major career periods:
Starting out (pro debut 1995 - 15th pro bout, 1998): 241lb average.
Rising (Includes failed first-time attempt to win British & Commonwealth titles, a points loss, 1999 - 2000): 255lb average
Peak Period (Wins British & Commonwealth and outclasses the division... includes 32 second blowout of Kali Meehan, 2000-2002): 248lb
Past-Prime Period (Increasing appearance of "head ****" moments, and signs of too many wars, three of his four losses in this period, 2002 - June 2005): 261lb
As he's reportedly come in at a career-heaviest 280lb for tomorrow night's bout, the rule seems to be: fat Danny ain't good for a granny's wanny. I only hope he proves us wrong.
