The trainer of WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire, former world champion Robert Garcia, picks “Fighter of the Decade” Manny Pacquiao to win a twelve round decision against Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley in their WBO welterweight title fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in Saturday.

You said this"...you get KO'd and suddenly realized that you're not the same fighter you used to be" "Manny is about to learn that lesson the hard way" and then this
"If Bradley wins, he's the next boxing superstar and Arum controls the purse strings. If he loses, and loses bad, that long-term deal will expire pretty quickly. Arum will then put his money behind the next Manny killer, if he can find one." Make up your mind! UOTE=marvin douglas;12220482]Re-posted from earlier thread You can't fight forever, and there will come a time when that fact is established in the most graphic of terms -- you get KO'd and suddenly realized that you're not the same fighter you used to be. anny is about to learn Mthat lesson the hard way. Boxing is a sport where heart, desire and dedication has its most dramatic impact. You don't have the be the greatest of all time to be a champion, you just have to be the better fighter on the night of the fight. And that, in a nutshell, sums up Pacquiao - Bradley. Bradley is going to be the better fighter on June 9th. You can see it in the training and in Bradley's confidence level. He knows he put in the work and also knows he is in the best shape of his boxing life, both physically and mentally. Can Manny say the same thing? Really, can he? I see so many distractions in Manny's life that he looks like the guy getting ready to retire, but not before he collects a big pay check. Which leads me to the ultimate question: Why is Manny fighting this guy? Why would Manny provide Bradley with the greatest opportunity (and incentive) to be great. Of all the fighters out there, Bradley posed the biggest threat (outside of maybe Mike Jones, and of course Floyd). The answer is Bob Arum. He knew Manny would get beat someday, so he made sure he had Bradley under a long-term contract before he put him up against Manny. If Bradley wins, he's the next boxing superstar and Arum controls the purse strings. If he loses, and loses bad, that long-term deal will expire pretty quickly. Arum will then put his money behind the next Manny killer, if he can find one.
|

I like how it's stated that Bradley who's 28 has the age advantage because Pac will be 34 in December. Yet they leave out that Bradley will be 29 in Aug... lol
Age advantage yes is favored towards Bradley but lets all ignore that Bradley will be 29 before Pac is 34. If this was "Mayweather standards", we would all be screaming that Floyd is fighting a green 28 year old JWW who has no power and no chance what so ever. Then again this makes sense since everyone always says Floyd is on a completely different level than Pac... |

Bradley is hungry but being hungry doesn't win you fights when you fight elite veterans let alone a fighter like Pac. If you really want to get a good idea on how good Bradley is at WW, just think what people would say about him if Mayweather was the one fighting him tonight? |

Jmm was 38 when he whipped pacs ass last year. That's another war PAC had, now he's fighting a 28 year old undefeated prime fighter..
I think mannys old legs will be his downfall. Cramps in his last few fights are signs of an aging fighter |

Carlos Abregu
won 32 (KO 26) + lost 1 (KO 0) + drawn 0 = 33 rounds boxed 147 KO% 78.79 This guy is a career ww and Bradley made him fall to his knees and run away, he has far more power than Pac does.....79% ko rating at ww. Pac's true ww KO% is 0....... Ya'll better wise up to this idea that Tim is powerless because you musta forgot. They let Pac put on more weight because they know Bradley is going to thrash that body and they were AFRAID of a knockdown from stomach damage.........remember, Pac has been KO'd twice both times from body punches. |

Bradley is a career JWW and has never fought a world class WW like Pac. That is the difference. If Bradley "wins" he won't on the cards and IF Bradley actually looks good its because of Pac being past it (which is why Bob won't let Pac anywhere near Floyd, let alone Cotto above 146 or any real threat without weight stipulations). I like Bradley but the guy has to KO Pac to keep it out of the judges hands and come on, who really thinks he's going to do that? |
