Bob Arum – Floyd's always been reluctant to fight a southpaw. Look at Floyd's style, it's for blocking right handed punches, and Manny would get his left in a lot more and with more power than Cotto did. Cotto hit him with plenty of lefts. I think Manny would win. Add what Floyd senior spoke about staying away from southpaws. Means it's very much the truth. Floyd's stance is really only for blocking right hand fighters. Now it truly makes perfect sense. Floyd's dad is even telling him to avoid southpaws. That's another one who you can believe in. That's Floyd's own blood and an experienced veteran fighter as well. Not to mention the guy who trained him to be a boxer before uncle roger took over and the author of the shoulder roll. Last edited by Spoon23; 05-24-2012 at 10:41 PM. |

cool, floyd has multiple defenses, he doesn't just use the shoulder roll. floyd would keep distance from pacquiao with ease, floyd would be teeing off pac with jabs and rights and control the distance easily. fight will be over by round 6.

Sounds to me like Arum knows plenty about promoting and who he represents. In real life this is good business. |
