Peterson and his camp are to blame for VADA not notifying third parties. Peterson had to sign off and allow VADA to copy Golden Boy on his results. No different than you signing a release at your doctor's office for them to get copies of your previous medical records.

I don't think Shaefer is handling this in a manner that's beneficial to the sport. Instead of focusing on some tecnicality regarding time of information, he should instead keep focus on the task at hand which is to nail the cheaters.

So my point is that this Pederson incident is drawing headlines for the wrong things namely who told what to who at what time and possible lawsuits. It would be much much wiser to look ahead. Get the testing procedures updated and ensure all fighters take the proper tests so the public can have a reasonable expectation of seeing fighters fight in a level playing field.

This mudthrowing takes us nowhere.

schaeffer has a point, but he's being dumb about it. The VADA and Peterson should've told GBP in time for GBP to find a replacement, but neither were obligated contractually to tell GBP. Next time Schaeffer should read the fine print.

I can understand Schaefer frustration, I'd be pissed and looking for someone to blame if million went down the drain. That being said contracts are contracts, VADA did nothing wrong and their course of action is actually understandable as they had to rely on the second test to conclusively prove that Peterson was on drugs.
