I don't think it will die just calm down a bit.

It's just not as big as it was a while ago. Losing heavyweight stars does that to a sport.

Although I never followed it I have respect for it.

The bad matchmaking being done by the Ufc at the moment is pretty awful,closing down all of the other shows and liquidating the fighters has really watered down their product,but they do have a few stars and it does seem to be sticking with the 20-35 crowd of guys,honestly i love boxing 1 million times more then mma but mma in my age group is more talked about then boxing and generally seems much more popular.

This is a funny thread. MMA has hit the top of the mountain. Dont want to say its going downhill, but the numbers are saying they are.

UFC isn't going to die...but to say that its stopped growing is an understatement...I was just in a MMA gym, and no one there even follows the UFC anymore...I actually find alot of ppl like Strikeforce's cards more...Henderson V. Rua was the last fight I even cared about...

Dana was dipping into Liddell's stash thinking that UFC was going to kill football, and soccer...the ultimate fighter is a douchebag factory...its hard to even relate to them anymore...all of the personalities that captivated ppl to the sport are gone, or leaving...if Silva loses...if GSP loses...then they will have to get VERY creative...I'm actually interested in what Dana will do to breathe new life into the sport...if its possible...

Either way...fans need to realize that the ceiling has been hit...what would even break records now besides GSP V. Silva?

they have no superstar athletes and they have a huge talent defecit.

They still need to figure out a proper minor league/factory system that will continually infuse their sport with brand new talent.
