That is what you call a entrepreneurial spirit .I used to gather bottles and recycle them. Used to knock on peoples houses and offer lawn moving or anything else they needed like apple picking... I just to hustle hard as a kid. Remember managing to amass 45$ by the age of 7 on my own. Too bad my foster dad stole my money ![]() |

pogs/slammers I was into I actually got into a few fights as a kid over those haha, marbles i was also into just not as much, Pokemon cards I was into as well, collecting them but I remember I got scammed once...i had a rare electric bird card forgot the name but its moves had crap damage and two friends of mine swapped me their fire pokemon card which had good stats but was not rare at all, the sucker I was I thought I was being clever because I didn't really know much about what was rare and what wasn't and I got the fire card. Needless to say I was kind of pissed off at myself when I figured out what happened ages later, though I didn't really care because I stopped collecting them at the time. I collected quite a few Yu-Gi-Oh cards as well.

I started a fad where people would bring me pencil sized peices of fiber glass and I would trick it out to resemble an actual pencil. The way I did it was I would pick up broken pencils at school, take off the eraser peice and use my pocket knife to saw the sharpened part of the pencil off. I would super glue the two sharpened peice to the fiber glass. Then I would either take a coke bottle wrapper or a decorated peice of paper (sometimes I colored it myself) and glues it around the fiber glass and pencil peice. It would appear to be a fully functional pencil. Then I would secure the eraser to the top. It actually was a fully functional pencil. Just the tip was an actual pencil and it threw everyone off. I sold them for $5 a pop. Also, my friends and I started a pirated video game business at school. We really only sold one game, Starcraft, because this was around the time when the manufacturers started to put protections on the disk to prevent burning. I can't take a lot of credit for it because I didn't do the burning because I didn't have a computer. I would just solicit the game. LOL. |

i had a graceful style on the devilsticks that was frankly unmatched
i'd be focused entirely on those sticks and planning four and five moves ahead, surrounded on the schoolyard by scores of gawking fourth graders. a third grader in his prime. a man and his sticks. tap tap, then spin. |
